Wide ranging practices in South and West Auckland require NZ Registered GPs for our modern medical and dental centres.  Doctors are supported by Registered Nurses, experienced receptionists and a friendly health environment including dental services, pharmacist and health awareness and community support teams.

Full-time or part-time.  Salary or contract.  We can work with you to match your needs.

The Fono South and Fono West are units of The Fono, the leading Pacific and high needs health and social services provider in New Zealand. We are growing well as an organisation as we invest in our people and quality standards.  Our Henderson practice is Cornerstone accredited and Manurewa is just completing its Accreditation.

We are looking for GPs looking to actively support development of the practices. You will already have your fellowship or be advanced towards it and be keen to participate and contribute to peer review groups within The Fono.  Your professional development will be well supported.

“We are known for raising the standards for better delivery, collaboration and outcomes in the health and social services sectors.  And now we have an Auckland-wide identity under the unified banner ofThe Fono“.

Tevita Funaki  –  CEO The Fono

West Fono Health Trust, The Peoples Centre Manurewa, St Patricks Square Medical & Dental Centre, Pacific Horizon Healthcare are now all called The Fono.  This has joined together the organisation and enhances our ability to make our unique and affordable Health and Social Services conveniently available across our vibrant and multicultural city from various locations and through outreach services.  The term “fono” is therefore particularly suitable for our identity as its meaning reflects meetings between people.

The Fono offers an expanding range of high quality primary health, dental services, health promotion, health support and social services to Pacific people and all who need our care.  We lead the way in developing partnerships with the community and other providers.  See www.thefono.org
